VANGUARD TODAY IS A 30 YEAR OLD PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANY WITH 500 STRONG FIELD FORCE SPREAD ACROSS THE COUNTRY WITH TURNOVER OF 500 MILLIONS.
The successful endeavour of Vanguard Group started in 1980 with the inception of its first manufacturing plant Endoven Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd in Balanagar, Hyderabad. The facility started off with the manufacturing of tablets, capsules, drops and over a period of time specialised in small volume parenterals, liquid orals, ointments etc. In the year 1990, Endoven was awarded the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) certificate which led to its entrance in to the league of contract manufacturing for companies like Cipla, Klarshen, Alkem, Sarabhai, Natco and Wockhardt.
Vanguard started its marketing division Vanguard Therapeutics Pvt. Ltd in the year 1986 with initial coverage of Andhra Pradesh. Today, VTPL operates in 16 states all over India including Orissa, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra etc. with a field force of 250 people.
Vanguard group started its second manufacturing unit Legend Drugs Pvt Ltd in the year 1994 in Jeedimetla Hyderabad. Simultaneously, Vanguard introduced it’s second marketing division, Legend, currently operating under the name of Vanguard Immuno Therapeutics Pvt. Ltd.
In the year 2005, Vanguard Laboratories, Vanguard’s third manufacturing unit in Dehradun, Uttaranchal with high capacities and quick and best production methods.
In 2007, Vanguard acquired Mark Remedies, division of Mumbai based Marksans Pharma under the name of Veekay Pharma. |
